Laureate Group Leadership
Experienced, Caring Leadership
Three generations of family ownership at Laureate Group have advanced a vision to provide a full range of senior residential options and services. The Laureate Group leadership has set us apart by providing outstanding value through high quality, yet affordable services all while remaining active in the community and being easily accessible to seniors and families. Get to know more about them below.
Beth Anderson — Executive Vice President
Beth not only plays an important role in running the Laureate Group, she plays a significant role in shaping assisted living in Wisconsin. She was a founding board member of the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA), and continues to serve on the Advocacy committee. Beth served on the Wisconsin Long-Term Care Advisory Council for nearly 20 years. She also sits on the board for the American Red Cross.
With more than 30 years of senior care experience, Beth’s responsibility is to ensure that our organization upholds its core values: providing quality care, services, and value – delivered by skilled and caring staff.
Beth holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Jamie Mahoney, RN — Nursing Consultant
Jamie is a registered nurse with more than 25 years of long-term care experience. In addition to her RN degree, she is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and is a Dementia Certified Practitioner, with training in Cognitive Stimulation Therapy. She has been involved in a variety of professional organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives, State of Wisconsin Assisted Living Forum, and the WI DON Council.
Jamie has a passion for serving our senior population. Ensuring the dignity and respect of those we serve is a priority in the care we deliver.
Adele Lund — Director Community and Business Relations
Many people recognize Adele from the numerous programs she’s presented — Downsizing Tips, Moving Forward, How to Pay for Assisted Living, and Difficult Conversations with Aging parents, to name a few. She presents to area professionals within Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) and churches on topics related to aging and senior housing. Drawing upon her decades of senior housing experience, Adele has counseled many families to help them better understand their circumstances, calm them in the midst of chaos, help them to look at their own actions differently, and assist them in identifying viable options to pursue.
Wendy Chossek — Lifestyle Consultant
Wendy leads the Lifestyle team across all of our eight communities. She ensures that our activity programs keep older adults engaged in mind, body, and spirit. She has a BS in Therapeutic Recreation with an emphasis in Gerontology. Wendy is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and a Dementia Certified Practitioner (DCP).
“I strive to not only build a sense of community within each building, but also preserve involvement with the greater community. This happens through intergenerational programming, connections with educators and spiritual leaders, as well as bringing community resources in. One of my goals in developing Lifestyle Programming at every Laureate Group senior community is to offer opportunities for joy and contentment in the lives of each senior.”
Diane Szalai — Culinary Services Director
Diane’s many years of experience is a marriage between food service management (MS in Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Management from Penn State) and the Culinary Arts (Associate in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, N.Y.). Under Diane’s direction, highly trained chefs freshly prepare our meals on site at Laureate Group communities. We focus on scratch cooking with good quality ingredients.
Diane also enjoys sharing her passion by providing cooking programs for area senior groups.
