Meet the Executive Director
As Executive Director, Margaret believes that she is in charge of a somewhat large family home. She wants everyone who enters Library Square to feel the warmth you feel when you are with family and friends. She says, “Being a director of a senior community allows me to know all of the people who live here and their families. I am able to touch their lives on a regular basis. I am managing their home so they can enjoy life to their fullest. ”
Margaret wears many different hats at Library Square – figuratively and literally- - At holiday time it might be an elf hat, for Western Days, a cowboy hat, and for Packer spirit day, a cheese hat. She truly enjoys the daily interactions with her residents and the rewards it gives her. You’ll find her sharing special interests by joining in many resident activities.
Margaret shared the reason why she has been with the Laureate Group for most of her entire career in senior care, “The Laureate Group is a leader in the industry. They provide me with the resources and support needed to do my job and to do it well. I continue to believe in and am proud of the quality care we provide to the seniors in our communities.”
Margaret is past president of RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Waukesha County) and currently is a member of Kiwanis.
Consider Becoming a Volunteer
Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Consider becoming a volunteer at Library Square. Join a generous team of folks who choose to share their lives with everyone who calls Library Square home. Volunteer on a regular basis or organize a one-time event. Here are a few examples of what is happening at Library Square:
Over the last year, we have been fortunate to have the Phillips Family Singers come in for musical performances and lead sing alongs every single month. Mark our “Piano Man” comes in quarterly.
Barb & John have been coming in for 7 years from Holy Assumption to provide a Eucharist service. They come weekly. They also bring flowers to those who are celebrating their birthday.
Both bingo and blackjack are very popular here at Library Square. Thank you to Dale, Jan and Jean who come in to ensure that our older adults can enjoy them so often.
There are many different ways that you can make a difference at Library Square! What do you have in mind?
