Diabetes Support Group
Library Square Retirement Community hosts a Diabetes Support Group that provides support and information to individuals and families coping with diabetes.  Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month, at 6:30 p.m. at Library Square. 

The support group is facilitated by Pat Shapiro, RN and Certified Diabetes Educator, Aurora Health Care. Those attending the support group will learn about the care of this disease to help prevent complications.  For more information, please contact Debbie Mauel at 414-774-4411

To qualify, your income as a single individual must be no more than $23,700 and for couples no more than $27,100 annually.  Several apartment styles are available at the affordable monthly rate of $889.  Participation in our flexible meal program is required each month.

Monthly rent includes all of the benefits such as access to the on-site bank, beauty/barber shop, and scheduled transportation for shopping and other outings.  You also get to take advantage of Laureate Group’s unparalleled lifestyle program that will keep you on the go – crafts, bingo, health and wellness programs, community service projects, shopping and so much more.  And you will have the security of our professional staff available 24 hours a day to provide assistance if needed.  Our morning and evening check-in service and emergency call system will provide peace of mind.  Items that are not included in the rent are the utilities, telephone and cable services, as well as housekeeping, laundry service and underground parking. 

This program is available at Howard Village, Library Square, The Arboretum, Hart Park Square, Layton Terrace and Oak Hill Terrace.
